Fred Wise uses personal experience and a wild imagination to create vibrant, intimate, and often playful paintings and drawings. An ordained Presbyterian minister with a degree in library science as well as art, Fred draws on theology, mythology, literature, advertising, politics, abstract expressionism, past anguish, and present joy in his work.

For Fred, art is the core of existence; it is "the life of the artist."
